Zeynab Izadyar is the founder and designer of VVORK VVORK VVORK, a one-woman studio based in Brooklyn, New York. Her practice connects design, fashion, art, and culture, with textiles as its primary medium. Trained in graphic design and self-taught in sewing, she weaves fragmented poetry and collective memory into cloth, transforming garments into wearable narratives. Her slow processes reflect cycles of regeneration in nature, moving between observation, making, use, exchange, and return to the body. Once worn, the work becomes performative, interacting with its surroundings and carrying stories through movement and time. Izadyar approaches design as a means of reclaiming cultural value extracted from overlooked or exploited communities. Alongside her studio practice, she explores labor, play, and fair economic practices through participatory and collaborative projects. Her work positions design as a cultural and ethical act, bringing the making of objects into conversation with the conditions of their production and use.
زينب إيزديار مؤسّسة ومصمّمة «وورك وورك وورك»، وهو استوديو تديره بمفردها في بروكلين بنيويورك. تجمع في عملها بين التصميم والأزياء والفن والثقافة، متخذةً النسيج وسيطها الأساسي. درست التصميم الجرافيكي وتعلّمت الخياطة ذاتياً، وتوظّف شذرات شعرية والذاكرة الجماعية في أعمالها النسيجية، لتحوّل الملابس إلى حكايات تُرتدى. تعكس وتيرة عملها المتأنّية دورات التجدّد في الطبيعة، متنقلةً بين الملاحظة والصنع والاستخدام والتبادل والعودة إلى الجسد. وحين تُرتدى القطعة، تكتسب بعداً أدائياً؛ تتفاعل مع محيطها وتحمل حكاياتها عبر الحركة والزمن. ترى إيزديار في التصميم وسيلة لاسترداد القيمة الثقافية المسلوبة من مجتمعات جرى تجاهلها أو استغلالها. وإلى جانب عمل الاستوديو، تتناول العمل واللعب والممارسات الاقتصادية العادلة في مشاريع تشاركية وتعاونية. ويقدّم عملها التصميم بوصفه فعلاً ثقافياً وأخلاقياً، يربط تصميم الأشياء بالظروف التي تُنتَج وتُستخدم فيها.
