Sohi Hedayati is an Iranian artist and graphic designer based in Yazd. Working between design and art, she explores language, visual form, and human experience through graphic design, artist books, typography, and visual storytelling, with particular attention to Persian letterforms. Her experimental practice draws on lived experience, exploring memory, identity, grief, transformation, and the emotional qualities of written language. She is drawn to poetry and layered forms as ways of holding experiences that direct language cannot fully express. Through books and tactile objects, she considers how design can preserve stories, create connections, and give form to experiences beyond words. Her personal projects include Samar, the Tamannameh booklet, covers for Dord podcast, and Didan, based on Bijan Elahi’s poetry. She has participated in national and international exhibitions and continues to develop projects combining typography, narrative, and material exploration. Her practice understands letters as carriers of memory, culture, and emotion alongside communication.
سُهي هدايتي فنانة ومصمّمة جرافيكية إيرانية تقيم في يزد. تتحرّك بين الفن والتصميم، مستكشفةً اللغة والشكل البصري والتجربة الإنسانية عبر التصميم الجرافيكي وفنّ الكتاب والتصميم الطباعي والسرد البصري، مع اهتمام خاص بالحروف الفارسية. تنطلق تجربتها من الحياة المعاشة لتتناول الذاكرة والهوية والحزن على الفقد والتحوّل وما تحمله الكتابة من شحنة عاطفية. تجد في الشعر وتعدّد طبقات العمل البصري سبيلاً للتعبير عن تجارب لا تفي بها اللغة المباشرة. ومن خلال الكتب والأعمال التي تبرز ملمس الخامات، تبحث في قدرة التصميم على حفظ الحكايات والتواصل مع الآخرين والتعبير عمّا يصعب قوله بالكلمات. تشمل مشاريعها الشخصية كتيّبات وأغلفة لبودكاست «دُرد»، إلى جانب عمل يستند إلى شعر بيجن إلهي. شاركت في معارض محلية ودولية، وتواصل تطوير مشاريع تجمع الحرف والسرد واستكشاف الخامات. فالحروف لديها وسيلة تواصل، تحمل أيضاً الذاكرة والثقافة والعاطفة.
