Eman Makki is an artist and designer based in Doha, Qatar. She graduated from VCUarts Qatar in 2018 with a BFA in Graphic Design. Her practice uses procedural and generative systems to visualize phenomena in nature and the cosmos that are unseen or difficult to comprehend. Working across digital processes, analogue photography, and printed matter, she explores the relationships between computer code, machines, digital images, and physical output. She participated in the 2018–2019 Artist in Residence programme at Doha’s Fire Station, exhibiting in Infinite Dimensions and On Paper in 2019. Works from this period include Printer Up Above the World So High and An Ode to Saturn’s Moons. She is also listed as a collaborator with Sonic Jeel, a research community at VCUarts Qatar. Her printmaking contributions include RISO printing for Roto-Riso, a kinetic installation combining rotating patterns, optical illusion, and participatory learning, presented within the 2025 Ars Electronica programme.
إيمان مكي فنانة ومصمّمة تقيم في الدوحة. تخرّجت عام ٢٠١٨ من جامعة فرجينيا كومنولث للفنون في قطر ببكالوريوس الفنون الجميلة في التصميم الجرافيكي. تستخدم أنظمة تقوم على قواعد وخطوات محدّدة، وأخرى تولّد الأشكال حاسوبياً، لتصوير ظواهر في الطبيعة والكون لا نراها أو يصعب علينا استيعابها. وتجمع بين العمليات الرقمية والتصوير الفوتوغرافي غير الرقمي والمطبوعات، مستكشفةً العلاقات بين الشيفرة البرمجية والآلات والصور الرقمية وما ينتج عنها من أعمال ملموسة. شاركت في برنامج الإقامة الفنية بمطافئ الدوحة لعامَي ٢٠١٨–٢٠١٩، وعرضت أعمالها في معرضَي «أبعاد لا متناهية» و«على الورق» عام ٢٠١٩. ومن أعمال تلك الفترة «برينتر أب أبوف ذا وورلد سو هاي» و«أن أود تو ساترنز مونز». كما تتعاون مع «سونيك جيل»، وهو مجتمع بحثي في جامعة فرجينيا كومنولث للفنون في قطر. وشاركت بطباعة الريزو في العمل التركيبي الحركي «روتو ريزو»، الذي يجمع بين الأنماط الدوّارة والخداع البصري، ويتيح للجمهور التعلّم من خلال المشاركة، وعُرض ضمن برنامج آرس إلكترونيكا لعام ٢٠٢٥.
