Amir Dehghanzadeh is a type designer and lettering artist with a BA in Graphic Design from the Art University of Tehran. Drawing since childhood, he developed an interest in letterforms through graffiti, becoming fascinated by their expressive and visual potential. Since 2018, he has collaborated with Metaphor Studio across graphic design and typography. His practice has expanded into handmade jewelry and decorative sculpture, with Persian and Arabic script remaining a constant source of inspiration. Bringing these interests together, he explores the formal possibilities of writing through wearable objects. His work engages the beauty, rhythm, movement, and complexity of script alongside its linguistic and cultural dimensions. Rather than treating writing solely as a means of communication, he approaches letterforms as material for sculptural expression. Some objects remain readable, while others move beyond reading. Across these practices, he investigates how the visual qualities of writing can become forms with their own presence.
